Planning ahead: Underclass make-up picture day is October 12, 2010.
PSAT is October 13, 2010. Dr. McMillen posted in the Reservation Report that seniors might want to take that day as an excused absence if they are visiting colleges, since the testing will impede the schedule significantly. Sophomores will, of course, be testing.
Gifted English II: Author of the Day: Carl Hiaasen. Word of the Day: triage. Review concepts of Antigone for quiz tomorrow; PSAT Vocabulary Assignment; PSAT analogies. Many activities, lots of one-liners.
AP Lit and Comp: Review Act II; Lit Crit by Thomas de Quincey; Act II Quiz (if time; we might do it tomorrow.) HW: Read Act III and be prepared to discuss. Warning: It's a little disturbing, but y'all survived the Porter sequence so I anticipate that you'll survive.
