Gifted English II: After we collect the HW from Monday, we will take a super-easy quiz on PSAT Vocabulary and then discuss the Author of the Day project, which will begin next week. After that, we will review the Mark Twain tale and make the transition into "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift. This is a challenging text but I know you will appreciate its humor and density. BTW: I've ordered the copies of Candide, and they should be delivered in just a few days! If you need a copy still, the Media Center does have a few for check-out.

AP Lit and Comp: Hamlet-related insults and pre-reading questions, followed by a brief look at the Green Sheets from the 2009 AP Lit exam.
